2 Week Behavioral Neuroscience Training Program: Focus on Sports Neuroscience

The NSU College of Psychology, Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is excited to offer a 2-week discovery-based NSU Behavioral Neuroscience half-day training program high school students. We will host a luncheon for parents where students will present work from their research projects on June 28th.

Students will participate in workshops with NSU faculty-experts with demonstrations.

Examples include:
• Brain Dissections with Dr. James Munoz
• Nutrition, Supplements, and the Brain with Dr. Jose Antonio
• The Brain in Combat: A Look at the Neuroscience of MMA fighters
• Exercise and the Brain with Dr. Jaime Tartar
• Nervous System Activity with Dr. Tobin Silver
• Sports and Cognition with Dr. Jonathan Banks
• Neuropsychological Testing with Traumatic Brain Injury Dr. Mercedes Fernandez
• The Winning Brain with Dr. Allie Holschbach

The total cost of the Behavioral Neuroscience program is $250 (a $50 non-refundable registration/processing fee and a $200 tuition fee). The tuition fee covers program supervision, program materials & equipment, daily mid-morning snack, and poster session luncheon.

To be considered for the program an application, a waiver form, and a $50 non-refundable registration fee will be due by April 30th, 2019.

Please note that, due to space limitations, 20 students will be accepted into the program on a rolling admissions basis.

Once accepted into the program, a final tuition payment of $200.00 will be due on or before May 10th, 2019.
