The Nova Southeastern University Aquatics Institute is a proud authorized provider of the Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification course. The National Recreation and Park Association offers the premier certification program in swimming pool operations. The AFO program provides the most comprehensive and up-to date training for pool operators and includes information on water chemistry, disinfection, mechanical systems, operations, healthy pools and safety. This program is ideal for operators of large aquatic facilities at locations such as municipalities, recreation centers, water parks, theme parks, and universities. Certification is REQUIRED by the Florida Department of Health for any contractor performing maintenance or service of public pools
Classes are taught on the campus of Nova Southeastern University inside the beautiful Rolling Hills Graduate Apartments pool/clubhouse.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS 48 HOURS BEFORE ANY SCHEDULED DATES
The two day course is 14-16 hours of classroom instruction from 9:00am to 6:00pm both days. All chapters of the latest Aquatic Facility Operator handbook and the Florida Health code will be covered during this class. This course is taught by an authorized NRPA instructor with over 15 years of aquatic industry experience. Students will hear about real-life situations and practical experience that will compliment the training.

There are NO REFUNDS for students who do not successfully pass the open book exam with a minimum 75% score. Other options may be available at the discretion of the instructor.
