American Red Cross: Lifeguard Training + Administering Emergency Oxygen
Course Description

Lifeguard Training is designed to teach lifesaving skills and provide knowledge of how to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Training also includes how to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services arrive. Upon successful completion, participants will receive certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Administering Emergency Oxygen valid for 2 years. Participants must successfully complete the prerequisites listed below and attend all class sessions.

Be capable to complete the following prerequisites:

Swim 300 yards continuously.
Swim 20 yards, then dive 7 – 10ft to retrieve a 10lb object. Return with the object and exit the pool without using the aid of a ladder or steps in 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Tread water for 2 minutes without using arms or hands.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds for those who fail the prerequisites or cannot attend all class dates.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS 48 HOURS BEFORE THE FIRST TRAINING DATE. A minimum of 4 candidates must be registered to run this course.
