NCD418 - 50 Hour Pre-Service BRIDGE Intro to Teach PreK-3 ONLINE (Starts November 7)
This course has been created to help candidates who completed the 24-Hour program upgrade to the 50-Hour Program. It is referred to as a "bridge" course as it is for students who have already completed the previously required 24-hour Introduction to Teaching course, but need to make up 26 hours to fulfill the new 50-hour requirement.
While there are no admission requirements for this course, please keep in mind that you will need a CGPA of 3.0 and a regular CE. Limited or temporary CE's are not accepted into our program. The required 50 hours of pre-service is not a standalone program. It is the first part of NJCU's New Pathways to Teaching Alternate Route Program. If you have questions about this, please feel free to contact NJCU New Pathways at 201.200.2122 or email newpathways@njcu.edu
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please email proof of your 24-Hour Certificate of Completion to newpathways@njcu.edu
Please note that this non-credit course is offered as an online course and requires 25 hours of class work, 25 hours of clinical field work, including at least 10 hours of planning and delivering instruction via individual or co-teaching model.
This class is the first part of the Alternate Route coursework. The class runs 5 weeks and includes an overview of all aspects of teaching, including:
