Shishito Peppers

Shishitos (short for shishitogarashi, or "lion pepper") are a japanese mild chilly pepper.  They make a great appitizer sauteed in a pan or grilled, especially when the skin blisters and chars.  They are generally not spicy at all, although like many peppers there will be about 1 in 10 that are hotter than normal -- it's part of the fun of eating them!
