Canyon Camp - 2026

Join us for this one-of-a-kind summer adventure that blends hands-on environmental education with outdoor exploration, creative arts, and plenty of fun. Each day, campers will learn a “forgotten skill” such as sewing, baking, or basket making and also enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, and discovering the wonders of the natural world.

This day-camp takes place at the Little River Canyon Center, with explorations into Little River Canyon National Preserve and DeSoto State Park—giving campers a chance to experience some of Northeast Alabama’s most beautiful landscapes.

Middle School Camp is June 16 - Friday, June 19, and designed for grades 6th - 8th. 

All other Canyon Camps are designed for ages 8–12.
Dates: Tuesday, June 23 - Friday, June 26, 2026 or Tuesday, July 7 - Friday, July 10, 2026

Canyon Camp offers a safe, engaging, and personalized experience with limited spots available.

Where: Drop off each day at the Little River Canyon Center in Fort Payne, AL
Time: 9am to 3pm (Central Time). Drop off begins at 8:30am. 
Fee: $150/student. Registration required. Limited availability.
