HR Topics in Relation to COVID-19

Indian Hills Community College is pleased to be partnering with Wide Prairie HR to offer a webinar designed to help our local businesses navigate the fast developing changes, and employer obligations, related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sessions will include an overview of the following topics:

• First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) and employer obligations
• Navigating the new unemployment requirements for employers including the Voluntary Shared Work program
• Paid leave
• Employee communications
• CDC and Risk Assessment guidelines – working with employee exposure and employees who have tested positive
• Managing remote employees
• Planning layoffs
• Wage and payroll changes

Each individual session is limited to 15 participants to ensure that there will be adequate time for question and answer. This webinar is offered free of charge to employers in the Indian Hills’ region and is being sponsored with funding from Indian Hills. Russ Curry, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, owner and lead consultant of Wide Prairie HR, will be leading the sessions.

Sessions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. When your registration is processed, you will receive an email from the Continuing Education & Workforce Solutions office which contains a link to the Zoom meeting platform.
