Design Day Camp - What it Means to be a Graphic Designer
This half-day hands-on design day camp at Kutztown University will introduce sophomore, junior and senior high school students to design as a career and raise awareness of design's possibilities. The students will explore their creativity and critical thinking abilities and learn how they can impact society through design. Students will learn the creative design process through a hands-on graphic design challenge. The first workshop will show you how to use what you have around the house to create a gig poster by considering visual-verbal synergy, hierarchy, and other basic design principles. The second workshop will walk students through the design process of sketching, illustrating, and printing.
