While Community Service strives to provide a number of free events the community can participate in, some events do have program fees, including our alternative break trips. The program fees offset the costs of these events, without which we would not be able to offer the event. Because the office cannot absorb the cost of these events (thus the need for the program fees) we have established a strict policy concerning the payment (and possible refund) of these program fees. For any program with a students must pay the a deposit of 1/3 the cost of the trip to register; the deposit is non-refundable. The remainder of the program fee (final payment) is due by the advertised due date. If the remainder is not paid in full by the due date, the spot will be reopened to other participants, and no refund will be given for any fees paid Students if they have to withdraw from the trip may be refunded the balance of the trip fee (minus deposit): a) 45 or more days from departure: 100% of final payment; b) 14 to 44 days from departure: 50% of final payment; c) Less than 14 days from departure: 0% of final payment NOTE: Trip fees (lodging, transportation, etc.) that have been paid to outside agencies are non-refundable. Paid fees are transferable to another participant.
