Project Management Basics
In this course, students will:
Define what a project is and explain the core components of project management.
Identify the five phases of the project life cycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and Closing).
Understand the roles and responsibilities of a project manager.
Develop a basic project plan including scope, timeline, and budget.
Use common project management tools such as Gantt charts, work breakdown structures (WBS), and risk registers.
Apply simple methods to track progress, manage risks, and adapt to change.
Communicate project status effectively to stakeholders.
