Prerequisites:
While there are no formal requirements for the asynchronous Emotional Health Practitioner program, participants are often from helping and educational professions, including nursing, teaching, social work, psychotherapy, life coaching, and related fields. Parents, guardians, PSWs, yoga instructors, and those seeking to improve their own emotional health and well-being also find this program valuable.

Candidates should be comfortable navigating digital platforms and possess a moderate level of digital literacy.

Instructional and assignment hours: 12 hours + 

Program Timeline

Students have 11 weeks to complete the Emotional Health Practitioner program. If additional time is needed, students not accessing OSAP may request a 6-week extension. This extension is subject to a $200 administration fee.

Tax: Students are entitled to a T2202 when they meet the following criteria:

  • The student is enrolled in a qualifying educational program in a specified educational program that provides at least 12 hours of instruction within a calendar month.
  • A program is not considered a qualifying or specified educational program if the student receives, from a person with whom they deal at arm’s length, a grant, reimbursement, benefit, or allowance for that program.
  • A minimum course cost of $150

If you would like a T2202 tax form, you must complete the program in the calendar month and add your SIN to the myTrent portal.
