Body Composition: Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)

Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) devices pass a safe, low voltage electric current through the body.  By measuring the current's resistance against fat and muscle, this data is used to calculate body composition and can be used to evaluate water retention.

The evaluation takes only minutes to complete (15-20 minute total appointment time).

No specific clothing is requred for this assessment, however important pre-test instructions must be followed for valid and reliable results.

The CORE Center has the ablity to use either teh InBody 570 or SECA mBCA 514 for this method of analysis.
