Prerequisite: This academy is only available to past participants of the Ayers Institute Coaching Academy: Models and Practices.
The Ayers Institute Coaching Academy: Skills Development will build on the knowledge gained during the Coaching Models and Practices Academy. This one-day session will focus on deepening the skills of listening, paraphrasing, presuming positivity, and providing reflective feedback by engaging in authentic practice of these foundational coaching skills. Participants will also learn about the various approaches to coaching and the kinds of conversations that lead to growth in those we coach. This academy would be useful for coaches, principals, or district leaders who have engaged in the Coaching Models and Practices session and who want to be challenged and encouraged in their journey to effective coaching. Content Delivery: This Instructional Coaching Academy will be conducted in-person and will include instruction, facilitator/participant interaction, small group discussions, and skill practice. Enrollment is limited to ensure the quality of the learning experience for each participant.
