The Ayers Institute: Leading with a Coaching Mindset will equip leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to maximize their influence by understanding and applying the foundational skills of coaching. Participants will explore responses to teacher resistance, the ingredients necessary for a culture of continuous improvement, and practices that lead to increased capacity in others. Participants will engage in explicit instruction to explore the skills of committed listening, paraphrasing, presuming positivity, and providing reflective feedback, and then practice these skills throughout the sessions. Dr. Karen Marklein and Dr. Eric Bowman will be leading the learning in this academy. Together, these educators have over 20 years of leadership and coaching experience.
Content Delivery:
This professional learning opportunity will be conducted in-person and will include instruction, facilitator/participant interaction, small group discussions, and skill practice. Enrollment is limited to ensure the quality of the learning experience for each participant.
