Dig into the science of growing food! In this hands-on maker class, students will discover how plants grow from seed to harvest while exploring the biology and engineering behind successful gardens. They'll plant and care for their own veggie starter, build and code a soil moisture sensor using a BBC micro:bit, visit some incredible gardens, and investigate what plants need to thrive. Through gardening, coding, and STEM design challenges, young growers will cultivate skills they can use long after class ends!
