LEARN TO PLAY STEEL DRUMS!

Workshop fee: $60.00 per person (lunch is included)


This hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to take part in a steel band rehearsal and learn how to play steel drums. Topics include instruments of the steel band, basic pan technique, instrument construction, steel drum history, and rote learning. In addition, audio and video examples will be presented. Reading music is not required.

Ages 14 and older only. Students 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Class size is limited! First 11 paid registrations will be accepted.
