Join Nature as Teacher and Robert Carter, PhD, Clemson Extension Wildlife and Forestry Agent for “Seasonal Bird Ecology” Winter Bird Hike.  These hikes will explore how birds respond to seasonal changes throughout the year. This series highlights the interconnected cycles of bird life and the environments they depend on in their habitat.  

 “Seasonal Bird Ecology” Winter Bird Hike is a series with 6 hikes. 
(Hikes vary once a month on Mondays Nov-April)

Mondays: Nov. 3rd, Dec. 8th, Jan. 5th, Feb. 2nd, Mar. 2nd, April 13th

Location: Nature as Teacher Preserve
       247 Chestnut Ferry Road
        Camden, SC 29020

Who Can Attend: 
All ages are welcome.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
What to Bring: 

Comfortable walking shoes 
Water bottle 
Bug spray 
Long sleeves and pants recommended 
A sense of adventure!

Directions: From Walmart in Camden head north on Springdale Drive, toward the race track. Chestnut Ferry Road (a dirt road) crosses over Springdale Drive at the bend. Turn left onto Chestnut Ferry road and continue down until you see our pinecone logo sign. Our driveway is the last on the left. After proceeding through our gate, do not stop in the maintenance lot. Continue down our long driveway, past the right turn, and into the parking area. You will see our green and tan restroom building. The bus parking is just past the building on the left hand side.

Hikes are non-refundable except in the case of cancellation by the provider.
