Wood Duck Habitat Hike 

Join us for a unique, hands-on experience designed for nature lovers, families and bird enthusiasts! Our wood Duck Habitat Hike and Nesting Box workshop combines outdoor exploration with conservation action.
This workshop is a wonderful way to connect with nature, support local wildlife, and make a positive impact in our community!

What to expect:
Guided Nature Hike: Explore local wetlands and wooded areas, the places wood ducks call home. Learn to identify their preferred habitats and discover what makes these environments so special. Wood Duck Education: Find out about wood duck behavior, their nesting needs, and why they are important to our ecosystem. Learn about ongoing conservation efforts and how you can help.

Nesting Box Building:
* With step-by-step guidance, build your own wood duck nesting box to take home.

*Additional fee: $15/box
*Predator trap and post not included.

Directions: From Walmart in Camden head north on Springdale Drive, toward the racetrack. Chestnut Ferry Road (a dirt road) crosses over Springdale Drive at the bend. Turn left onto Chestnut Ferry Road and continue down until you see our pinecone logo sign. Our driveway is the last on the left. After proceeding through our gate, do not stop in the maintenance lot. Continue down our long driveway, past the right turn, and into the parking area. You will see our green and tan restroom building. The bus parking is just past the building on the left-hand side. Trips are non-refundable except in the case of cancellation by the provider.
