LEMS Gerhardy-Jones Trip

LEMS Gerhardy-Jones Trip

The Nature as Teacher Preserve for Education welcomes you for a feild trip on Monday September 30th from 9:30am - 12:00. We will explore the creek for crayfish, and learn about the important plants that provide habitat!

Please help your students dress for the weather, and wear closed toe shoe. Rainboots or watershoes suggested. Students may bring a lightweight daypack or backpack if desired. We encourage all students to come with a full resuable water bottle to stay hydrated outdoors! All learning materials will be provided for you.

Our preserve is located at 247 Chestnut Ferry Road in Camden. GPS will often tell you to stop short of our driveway or to drive past it. Look out for the pinecone logo sign on the left. From Walmart in Camden head north on Springdale Drive, toward the racetrack. Chestnut Ferry Road (a dirt road) crosses over Springdale drive at the bend. Turn left onto Chestnut Ferry road and continue down until you see our pinecone logo sign. Our driveway is the last on the left. After proceeding through our gate, do not stop in the maintenance lot. Continue down our long driveway, past the right turn, and into the parking area. You will see our green and tan restroom building. We will be there waiting for you.
