This book will provide easy identification of the common insect pollinators in the South Carolina and Georgia Lowcountry, namely bees, wasps, butterflies, moths, flies, and beetles. It includes 143 high quality images, natural history information for each species and identification tips for the most common pollinators. We examine the global decline insects and that of honey bees and monarch butterflies. We also provide information on attracting, protecting and enhancing pollinators through plantings, nesting structures, etc. We suggest activities that encourage pollinators as well as other beneficial insect species.
