Quiet Reflections: The Clemson University Forest

Quiet Reflections: The Clemson University Forest Quiet Reflections, the 128-page, full-color coffee table book features the Clemson University Experimental Forest. It is a two-year labor of love that includes more than 120 photographs by Wyche with descriptive text by naturalist John Garton. The two will make a brief presentation at 7:30 p.m. and take questions from the audience before the signing.

Wyche is nationally recognized for conserving some 100,000 acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North and South Carolina. His other photography books are "The Blue Ridge Escarpment," "The Blue Wall," "Mosaic" and "Cycles of Nature." Garton, recently retired from Duke Energy's Environmental Department, was the guide and author for this book on the Clemson Forest.

Quiet Reflections captures the beauty of Clemson's 17,500-acre experimental forest, the largest such forest in the nation adjacent to a university campus. The Clemson Forest is home to more than 195 species of birds and 900 species of plants and has been designated as an important bird area by the National Audubon Society.
