4-H2O: Exploring the Inlet

Serving 7-14 year olds of Horry counties

Camp Activities and Skills Learned: Campers will learn about hydrology, the water cycle, grasses, ghost crabs, sustainability, fisheries and much, much more! We will learn about water quality and collect water samples from the inlet. We will learn about the impact of pollutants and participate in a beach sweep. We will dissect fish and learn about anatomy with DNR. We will incorporate art and make gyotaku fish, an age old Japanese technique. The final day of camp will consist of boating safety and kayaking in the inlet.

What will be provided: Drinks and snacks, Pizza lunch on the third day, sunscreen, and bug spray

What TO bring: A bag lunch for the first two days of camp, Comfortable clothes
