UTRGV is a Fully Funded DANTES CLEP site. If you're DANTES-funded (military), contact us for a coupon code to waive the $25 test center fee. You must show your military ID and have a CLEP registration ticket showing DANTES funding.
You are responsible for two payments:
$97 to CLEP – Pay at https://clep.collegeboard.org/register-for-an-exam. You’ll receive a ticket ID, valid for 6 months. Bring this to your test — no ticket ID, no test!
$25 to UTRGV Testing Services – Pay online after selecting your test date.
Arrive 30 minutes early to: UTRGV Testing Services 1407 E. Freddy Gonzalez Dr. Edinburg, TX 78539 ECESS Bldg., Room 1.102 Late arrivals (15+ mins) will not be admitted.
Bring one valid, government-issued photo ID with signature.
Bring your CLEP ticket ID.
Non-refundable: $25 UTRGV test fee.
Non-transferable: Exam fees, dates, and locations.
Score Reports: Posted to transcripts ~3 weeks after testing.
Credit Policy: No CLEP credit for courses with prior letter grades. CLEP appears as "CR" (credit), not a letter grade. Not valid for Financial Aid clearance.
