HESI 2nd Time Test Taker 8:30am January 13, 2025 (BRVL)

** Please note that this exam version specifically meets the requirments of the UTRGV Nursing Program.**

Exam Length: 5 hours and 30 minutes

Assessments: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and General Knowledge, Grammar, Basic Math Skills, Anatomy & Physiology, Learning Style, Personality Profile, and Critical Thinking

Two-Step Registration Process:
1.  $30.00 Administration Fee and seat reservation.
2.  $65.00 Exam Fee. Go to https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/register to create an account and pay the Elsevier test fee. 

Follow the steps below to complete your registration.
STEP 1 - You will receive an email notification from UTRGV to set up your EVOLVE Account. The email will include a step-by-step guide. Due to the high testing volume, this email may take 3-4 business days. ​​​​​​
  • Once your eligibility is verified, you will receive an email notification to the address you provided during registration. 
  • All eligibility is determined during regular business hours, Monday-Friday. 
STEP 2 - Complete the required payment information. Payment must be completed before the exam day. 

RETEST POLICY: Students must wait 3 weeks between attempts and the exam can only be taken twice during an academic year. These policies are strictly enforced, and fees will not be refunded for incorrect registrations, registration before the retest waiting period, or non-eligibility. 

REFUND POLICY: The $30 registration fee for this exam is non-refundable.
You are responsible for registering for the correct version (e.g., 1st Time Test Taker and 2nd Time Test Taker). Fees will not be refunded and reschedules will not be provided due to incorrect registrations or registrations made before the retest waiting period. 

TRANSFER/RESCHEDULE POLICY: Fees for this exam are non-transferrable, including exam date, time, or location. Test Center location changes are prohibited. 

SCORE REPORTS: A copy will be available immediately after testing. For additional copies, log in to your EVOLVE account. Due to FERPA regulations, scores and candidates information is confidential, and will not be released to anyone other than the testing candidate. 

ON EXAM DAY:
1.  Report to UTRGV Testing Services located at UTRGV at St. Joseph's Academy - 101 Saint Joseph Drive Suite 100. Brownsville, Texas, 78520 at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time. Students will not be allowed to test 15 minutes after start time.
**DIRECTIONS**
Traveling South on Highway 77/83 in Brownsville use the left lane to take the ramp onto I-69E S/US-77 S/US-83 S. Take the exit towards 6th Street. Merge onto S Expressway 83/Frontage Rd. Turn left onto Palm Blvd. Follow Palm Blvd to CALLE RETAMA and turn right. Your destination will be to the right. Turn right to St. Joseph Drive. UTRGV at St. Joseph Academy and Parking will be to the left. Our Testing Office is located in Suite 100.
**************************** IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION******************
A temporary visitor parking permit is required, please come into the Testing Office to receive your temporary permit. Our Testing Office is located in Suite 100.

2.  All candidates will be asked to present one form of valid, non-expired photo identification each time they test. Expired IDs will not be accepted. A picture, copy, or electronic ID will not be accepted. The ID must include the student’s name and a recognizable photograph.
Acceptable forms of photo identification include:
  • Driver’s license
  • College ID
  • State or federal ID card
  • Passport
  • Tribal ID card
  • Naturalization card or certificate of citizenship.
You will not be admitted without proper identification. All IDs must be valid.

3.  Electronic devices will not be permitted in the testing room.
4.  Lockers are available to safely store your items. 
5.  No food or beverages are permitted in the testing rooms at any time.
6.  The only materials allowed in the testing rooms are those provided by the testing staff.
