The TSIA2 Placement and Diagnostic tests are computer-adaptive assessments, and the specific questions that appear on any given test administration vary based on each individual student’s performance on each item. Questions increase or decrease in difficulty level depending on how a student responds. The TSIA2 measures college readiness in reading, writing, and math, and scores are used for college placement purposes.

The TSIA2 ELAR section must be taken as a whole if a student has never tested on it or has not met the required scores for a retest option. ** ON DAY OF EXAM, YOU MUST:

1) Report to UTRGV Testing Services located at UTRGV at St. Joseph's Academy - 101 Saint Joseph Drive Suite 100. Brownsville, Texas, 78520 at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time. Students will not be allowed to test 15 minutes after start time.
**DIRECTIONS**
Traveling South on Highway 77/83 in Brownsville use the left lane to take the ramp onto I-69E S/US-77 S/US-83 S. Take the exit towards 6th Street. Merge onto S Expressway 83/Frontage Rd. Turn left onto Palm Blvd. Follow Palm Blvd to CALLE RETAMA and turn right. Your destination will be to the right. Turn right to St. Joseph Drive. UTRGV at St. Joseph Academy and Parking will be to the left. Our Testing Office is located in Suite 100.
2) Each candidate will be asked to present one form of valid photo identification. Expired IDs will not be accepted. The identification must be checked before the student begins testing and may be re-checked at the end of testing. The ID must include the student’s name and a recognizable photograph. Acceptable forms of valid photo identification include: • A current driver’s license • A current state-approved ID • A current high school ID • A current college ID • A current state or federal ID card • A current passport • A current tribal ID card • A current naturalization card or certificate of citizenship. You will not be admitted without proper identification. All IDs must be valid.
3) IMPORTANT: Calculators will not be permitted during the exam. A pop-up calculator will be available within the test for some of the mathematics items.
4) Do not bring cellular phones or other electronic devices; they will not be permitted in the testing room.

TRANSFER POLICY: Fees for this exam are non-transferrable, including exam date, time, or location.

SCORE REPORTS: Available immediately after testing. If you need scores sent to a school other than UTRGV you will need to submit a score request form.
