Bereavement Coordinator Program- 1024 (E)

Bereaved individuals experiencing the loss of a loved one often have limited resources in which to turn. For this reason, many organizations are adding bereavement professionals to their staff. Tragic events such as accidents, active shootings, suicide, or natural disasters may leave individuals, families, communities and societies in a state of shock and disbelief which may lead to traumatic grief. After a traumatic event, assistance is often sought from the workplace, schools or agencies where the incident may have occurred. To help empower professionals to guide grieving families to proper avenues of support, the bereavement coordinator training will combine lecture and experiential learning components to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the bereavement profession.
