Institutional TOEFL 8:30am December 04, 2026 (BRVL)

TOEFL is required of students graduating from a high school in country where English is not the native language. UTRGV policy requires that Institutional TOEFL scores be sent to this institution only.

The TOEFL ITP tests measure core English skills using academic content similar to what is used in actual classroom tasks. For further information on International Student advisement, please call 956-665-2972.

ON DAY OF EXAM, YOU MUST:
1) UTRGV at St. Joseph's Academy 101 Saint Joseph Drive Suite 100 Brownsville, Texas, at least 15 minutes prior to your testing time. TOEFL policy states that a student will not be allowed to test once exam has begun.
2) IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT. If you take the test OUTSIDE your country of citizenship, you must present your PASSPORT containing your signature and a RECENT recognizable photograph. (This means that you must look like the picture in your passport). Other identification will not be accepted. If you take the test WITHIN your country of citizenship, you may present your passport containing your signature and a recent recognizable photograph, if you have one. If you do not have a passport, present a letter verifying your identity (and written on the school's letterhead stationery) from an official of the school you attend or most recently attended. The letter must have your photograph glued to it, and the title, signature, and seal of the official who issued the letter of identification must overlap the photograph. NO OTHER FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED. Note to individuals without acceptable identification: If you do not have acceptable identification, you will not be admitted to the testing room. If you insist on taking the test without the required identification, your scores will be canceled.
3) Do not bring cellular phones or other electronic devices.

REFUND POLICY: Fees are non-refundable. 

TRANSFER POLICY: No changes to exam date, time, or location are allowed. As a result, requests to transfer or reschedule the exam will not be honored.

SCORE REPORTS: Available after the test has been completed. A valid photo ID will be required to obtain a copy of your scores.
