Note: This exam version is designed specifically for the UTRGV Nursing Program.

Exam Overview

Length: 5 hours 30 minutes
Sections: Reading, Vocabulary, Grammar, Math, A&P, Learning Style, Personality Profile, Critical Thinking

Registration – Two Steps

Pay $30 administration/seat fee.
Pay $65 Elsevier exam fee at: https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/register

You will receive an email from UTRGV with instructions to create your EVOLVE account (allow 3–4 business days).
Eligibility is verified Mon–Fri during business hours.
Complete both payments before exam day.

Policies

Retesting:

Wait 3 weeks between attempts.
Max 2 attempts per academic year.
No refunds for early or incorrect registration.

Refunds:

$30 registration fee is non-refundable.
No refunds or reschedules for the wrong test version.

Transfers/Reschedules:

No changes to exam date, time, or location are allowed. As a result, request to transfer or reschedule the exam will not be honored.

Score Reports

Immediate results available post-test.
Log in to EVOLVE for additional copies.
Scores are confidential (FERPA compliant).

101 Saint Joseph Drive, Suite 100. Brownsville, Texas 78520
( The Brownsville Test Center is not located at UTRGV's Main Campus. Please use the off-campus map.)

Arrival:

Arrive 15 minutes early.
Late arrivals (15+ mins) will not be admitted.

Bring:

One valid, unexpired photo ID (no copies or digital IDs).
Accepted: Driver’s license, College ID, State/Federal ID, Passport, Tribal ID, Naturalization card.

Note:

No electronics, food, or drinks allowed.
Lockers are provided for personal items.
Only test materials provided by staff are permitted.
