Charity Golf Tournament

CUSOM SGA and SOMA are sponsoring a charity golf tournament to benefit fellow classmate Owen Kurtz.
            
            My name is Owen Kurtz, and I’m a first-year medical student at Campbell University. In November 2024, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), which put my studies and daily life on hold. The support I’ve received from my classmates, faculty, and the entire Campbell community has been nothing short of a lifeline, carrying me through some of the hardest moments of my life. I am currently in the tail-end of treatment at Moffit here in Florida, but still have many unknowns ahead. Although treatment is going well, I still face a long road of targeted therapy and recovery. However, I remain hopeful and focused on healing. This fundraiser means the world to me, and will help with medical expenses and allow me to return to school soon and with a renewed sense of purpose and compassion as a future physician.
