Special Education: Working with Individual Learning Needs, Challenging Behaviors, and IEPs
This workshop in Special Education will address the needs of children with disabilities and various strategies that support these students academically, socially, and behaviorally. Participants will explore lesson plans that address individual learning needs, behavior supports that increase successful student engagement, and the influence of IEPs on teaching and learning in the general education classroom. Participants should expect to develop several strategies to use in their classrooms (with one or more students) and to provide reflections regarding these experiences.
