Special Education: Teaching Students with Disabilities and Diverse Learning Styles

The academic bar has been and continues to be raised for all students including those students with disabilities and diverse learning styles. This workshop will address the various disabilities and diverse learning styles which are present in regular education classrooms and the challenges these present for the classroom teacher. Participants will increase their knowledge of disabilities and diverse learning styles with various strategies for providing effective instruction for all learners. Participants should expect to select several strategies to use in their classrooms (with one or more students) and provide reflections regarding these experiences.
