Workshop on structured literacy “Phonemes and morphemes and graphemes, oh my!”

Have you heard these terms but aren’t quite sure how they fit into the structured literacy puzzle?
In this workshop we will take a deep dive into the structure and foundation of the English language and discuss instructional strategies for all three tiers of RTI. We will consider phonemic awareness, structured phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Morphology will be highlighted as together we find best practices to assess and teach reading and writing to elementary students. Decoding (reading) and encoding (writing) both phonetic words as well as irregularly spelled words and syllable division will be considered. Join us as we put the pieces of the literacy puzzle together!
