Parking Permits and Fees

Parking permits for the 2025-2026 academic year will go on sale on Thursday, July 24th at 10am.

Permits are sold on a first come, first served basis. Below are some important things to keep in mind as you prepare to request a permit:

  • Resident students who purchase permits can pick them up on move-in day. 
    • First-Time Students - Thursday, August 21st at the UPMC Events Center
    • Returning Students - At Residence Life on your scheduled move-in date
    • Early Move-In - Permits will be available in Residence Life on Friday, August 22nd 
  • Commuter and Graduate Students
    • Pickup at Barry Center Monday \- Friday 8am \- 4pm no later than the first day of classes, which is August 25th. 
  • All vehicles on campus must have a permit.
    • Parking without a permit may result in ticketing and/or towing.
    • Temporary parking permits are available at Barry Center.

To purchase a student parking permit:

  1. STEP 1 - Register your vehicle and request a permit in ARMS Parking
    Username is your full RMU Email Address. Example: abcst123@mail.rmu.edu
  2. STEP 2 - Make payment for the correct permit type (here).

Once your payment has been made the permit registration will be processed. 

Do not make payment here if you have not yet completed the Parking Permit Registration and entered your vehicle information.
