Get ready to laugh, cheer and maybe even take the stage! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightfully quirky musical about six “middlers” vying to be champion of the county spelling bee. With tongue-in-cheek wit, a fresh and vibrant score by William Finn and a book by Rachel Sheinkin, this show invites audience participation, serves up hilarious and touching stories of adolescence, and proves that even losers can walk away winners.

Our production at Robert Morris University Theatre this Spring 2026 is perfect for anyone ready for an uproarious, heartfelt night of theatre.
