Founded by Alastair Norcross and Ben Hale in 2008, and co-organized by Norcross and Hale each year since its inception, the Rocky Mountain Ethics Congress (RoME) is an international four-day conference sponsored by the Center for Values and Social Policy, in the CU Boulder Philosophy Department. Widely recognized as one of the most important ethics conferences in the English-speaking world, RoME has developed a reputation not only for academic excellence but for providing a distinctively welcoming environment.
