Description:
One of the delicate balances in employment services is knowing when and how to reduce support to the minimum necessary for the employee to continue thriving. Fading paid supports isn't about stepping away abruptly or leaving an employee to figure things out alone—it’s a gradual, intentional process of transferring support responsibilities to natural workplace systems while keeping job performance high.

In an outcome-based payment model, successful fading is essential to managing staff capacity and achieving long-term retention milestones. When executed well, fading solidifies the employee's relationship with their supervisor and coworkers, ensures employer expectations continue to be met, and frees up provider resources to support new job seekers.
