CPL Graduate Student Portfolio Review Fee

How to Earn Credits Through a Portfolio Assessment of Work Experience

Step 1: Confirm Eligibility

Discuss potential eligibility with your program's faculty advisor who will refer you to a Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Team member.
 

Step 2: Pay the Assessment Fee

Once eligibility is determined, a non-refundable portfolio assessment fee is required. This fee covers faculty review costs. Please submit payment through the CU Online Store for the College of Education Credit for Prior Learning Review Fee. If prompted, please choose undergraduate or graduate based on your status.
 

Step 3: Prepare Your Portfolio

Your CPL team member will provide resources and access to Canvas, where you’ll find detailed instructions.
 

Step 4: Understand Requirements

During your meeting with the CPL team member, you’ll review the Canvas materials and learn how to compile and submit your portfolio. You may submit multiple portfolios if you have experience relevant to more than one course. Each submission requires a separate fee.
