Global Health Disaster Course

The Global Health and Disasters Course is a two-week long intensive course held once a year at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus.

Date: Week 1 - 9/29/25 - 10/3/25
          Week 2 - 10/6/25 - 10/9/25

Location: CU Anschutz Medical Campus, Education 2 North - P28-3108 Conference Room

The first week of the course covers core global health curricular topics relevant to any global health learner (medical students, RN, MD, PhD, EMT, NP, PA, etc.), including infectious and non-communicable disease burden, global health ethics, and innovative strategies to improve global health equity.

The second week of the course is the Pediatrics in Disasters course, which is run in partnership with the Kenyan Paediatric Association. This interactive training incorporates lectures, small group discussions and skills sessions, and a summative mass casualty disaster simulation exercise."

You do not have to sign up for both weeks. 

CME Credit
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The University of Colorado School of Medicine and The Center for Global Health at the University of Colorado School of Public Health. The University of Colorado School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 45.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
