COAHEC's NEAR conference session: "For the People of Agriculture, the Land may be their Best Therapist" presented by Kaila Anderson LMSW recorded on September 23, 2023.  CME available through September 2024. one CME credit hour will be awarded after completion of post session survey. 

Driven by positive feedback from farmers and ranchers, this training proposes cultural adaptations to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy designed for use with members of the agricultural community. Based on the agrarian imperative (Rosmann, 2010), techniques and skills are proposed that intentionally incorporate a client's attachment to the land in order to improve therapeutic trust and client engagement and promote positive behavioral health outcomes. Training materials and client worksheets based on the LandLogic Model will be provided by request post-session and delivered electronically.
