Live & Virtual Open House - HBMT & HBAT Fellowship Programs

Join us February 4th, 6pm in person at our Mission Bay campus or via zoom to learn about our 2026-2027 of hospital-based massage therapy and hospital-based acutherapy fellowship programs. 


As more hospitals have come to recognize the value of massage therapy and acutherapy within hospital settings inr egards to pain management, the need for massage therapists and acupuncturists with medical knowlegde and expeirence continues to grow. 

The Stad Center for Pediatric Pain Palliative and Integrative Medicine at UCSF offers licensced massage and acupuncture providers the opportunity to expand the scope of their practice and fill the demand for non-pharmacological pain relief methods in hospitals through our accredited 1-year hospital-based massage and acutherapy fellowships.

The Fellowships...
Each stad Center fellowship provides experienced massage therapists and acupuncturists a year-long opportunity for hospital based education and hands-on clinical experience. Clinical research, therapeutic alliance, and professional development are built upon foundational discipline specific integrative healthcare education and best practices. In addition to our fellows earning CE credits, our fellows are hired by UCSF and may earn back approxiomately 50% of the tuition. 

Massage Therapy:
Our hospital-based massage (HBMT) fellowship offers one day per week of classroom experience, with supervision.

Acutherapy:
Our acutherapy (HBAT) fellowship offers one day per week of combined didactics and direct patient care work experience, with supervision.
