There is new information regarding NACE testing:

Acceptance letters for the LPN-BSN program will go out the first week of June. If Nursing faculty request that you retest prior to enrolling the in the Fall 2025 program, it will be included in the acceptance letter.

Starting with Spring 2026 admission/enrollment, SWOSU will no longer require exams for admission to the LPN-BSN program.  Advanced standing credits for NURS 3236, NURS 4376, NURS 3256, NURS 4356, and NURS 3156 will be met by verifying the student's LPN license.  This will cost a fee of $150 (subject to change).  The expectation is to send an advanced standing form after a student completes the 1st 8 weeks of the program.

PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR A NACE APPOINTMENT UNLESS IT HAS BEEN REQUESTED BY FACULTY (effective 5/9/2025).

LPN TO BSN program at SWOSU

The LPN to BSN program at SWOSU is for Oklahoma residents only (must have an Oklahoma nursing license). If you want to apply for admissions into the LPN to BSN program at Southwestern, you must take the following advanced placement tests:

After earning a minimum score of 70 on both tests, or successfully completing remediation in those areas, the 30 specified advanced standing credit hours will be added to your transcript for a fee of $150 (subject to change).

STEPS FOR TEST REGISTRATION:

SWOSU requires that you take the tests at a university test center.  PLEASE DO NOT ORDER PROCTOR360, HYFLEX OR EXAMITY TESTING, which are more expensive. (NEW INFORMATION: We would love to see you on campus for testing. However, if Weatherford is too far away, please exit this registration and complete the NLN NACE registration for testing at an Alternate Site instead.

The test registration process is a bit complicated for some.  If you want to come early to your testing appointment for assistance:

• You will be required to bring your own laptop/device.
• Also, be informed that using the public SWOSU Guest Network is similar to using a McDonald's public network.  It is probably not as secure as completing the test registration process from home.

1. Create an account at:  NLN On-Site Testing for SWOSU

This link connects you directly with our SWOSU On-Site testing account (393599-02). The SWOSU Testing Center will have access to your scores and will send them to SWOSU Nursing faculty.

• From now on, use the login you created at:  www.nlntest.org
• To purchase the exams, click the "Register for Exam" tab. (Do NOT purchase from the Buy Exam tab!)
• Register for the correct Exam Event(s) BY MONTH. Even though it appears that you will test on the last day of the month, you will actually schedule the day and time that you prefer when you complete this Marketplace registration.
• Refunds must be requested by emailing NLN at support@2checkout.org or by calling 888-247-1614.

2. If you are positive that you will test on the SWOSU campus in Weatherford, please return to this SWOSU Marketplace Registration as soon as possible to schedule the day and time of arrival, and to pay the testing PROCTOR FEE(s). You must register at least 24 hours in advance. Scroll all the way down to the "Register" button on the bottom right. You are allowed to take more than one test on the same day if you prefer.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

* There is no refund for the Proctor Fee(s) for "no shows" or for rescheduling with less than 24 hour's notice.  Call 580-774-7084 to reschedule your test.

* Re-testing is available after a 30-day waiting period.

* Test scores are valid for three years.

* A calculator is available.
