Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

COURSE DESCRIPTION: A combination of online and in-person class to earn American Red Cross (ARC) First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Participants must complete the online portion before attending the in-person class. A link will be provided after registration.

TOPICS COVERED:

• How to recognize and provide care for a variety of first aid techniques and cardiac emergencies, involving adults and children with injuries at home, work, school, or until emergency personnel arrives on the scene.
   
• Comprehensive training designed to train lay responders to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situation, and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies.
   
• Knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and to minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives and takes over.
   
• Hands-on practice sessions and real-life scenarios in order to learn existing first aid techniques.

CERTIFICATIONS GRANTED: Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
***Please note, if you are also interested in acquiring American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, you may want to consider this class on December 27 & 28, which also provides Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.

PREREQUISITE: Participants must first complete the online portion of this course (which may take up to 3 hours) before attending the in-person class. Proof of completion is required.

AGES: Must be 13 and over
