US Powerboating Powerboat Instructor Course 2024

Sessions took place March 1 - March 3, 2024 and March 3 -  March 6, 2024.

Become a US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling Instructor! In this 3-day course for advanced powerboat operators who will operate boats 26 feet and under, instructor candidates will learn the fundamentals of on-the-water instruction. Candidates must successfully demonstrate superior presentation, teaching, and powerboat operation skills in order to complete this course. Upon successful completion, instructors will be eligible to teach Safe Powerboat Handling courses. Waterfront Community Powerboat Instructor positions immediately available via SUNY Maritime’s Human Resource Services.

LOCATION: This class will take place at McMurray Hall on SUNY Maritime College, 6 Pennyfield Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465. Mass transit and parking are available.
