Sat. July 25, 2026, 11:00am - 4:00pm RAIN OR SHINE In coordination with City of Water Day This fun, interactive event is free to the general public and will connect residents to Long Island Sound/East River to increase the use, appreciation, and support for our local waters. Community members can participate in maritime activities such as:
• Stewardship Activities (i.e. shoreline cleanup, oyster restoration with Billion Oyster Project)
• Marine Environmental Science (i.e. shoreline exploration/seining, touch tank, water quality monitoring)
• Waterfront Community Programs (i.e. kayaking, sailing and boating with qualified skippers)
• Free fishing clinic provided by I Fish NY Location: SUNY Maritime College Waterfront 6 Pennyfield Avenue, McMurray Hall Bronx, NY 10465
By car: Free on-site parking
By train & bus: 6 Subway Westchester Square/East Tremont Avenue to BX40 bus to front gate
By ferry: East River Ferry to Ferry Point Park – 2.5 miles from campus
