The Radiation Safety course is a prerequisite for this course. This is a one-day course of classroom instruction. The objective is to train designated individuals in the proper procedures for conducting and documenting a radiation safety program.

This is a three-day classroom course that takes places over two half-days and two full days. It covers areas of asphalt pavement construction, delivery, placement, and compaction of asphalt mixtures, random sampling, and computation of pay factors used for asphalt pavements. The Radiation Safety course is a prerequisite for this course.

Students that have completed one of the ALDOT Technician Training courses but failed the written exam with a 74 or lower can retake the written exam twice before being required to retake the course.
