The Radiation Safety course is a prerequisite for this course. This is a four-day classroom and laboratory course that takes place over two half-days and three full days. The emphasis is the accomplishment of the test procedures necessary to control the quality of asphalt pavements.

Students that have completed one of the ALDOT Technician Training courses but failed the written exam with a 74 or lower can retake the written exam twice before being required to retake the course.
