Adopt an Oyster Garden

Support the Mobile Bay Oyster Gardening Program by adopting an Oyster Garden. Each adoption will support one garden, which produces an average of 250 oysters for planting on the restoration/enhancement sites. This is a great way for you to join the program if you do not live on the water, live in unclassified or closed water, or are not home enough to take care of a garden.

Our Adopters play a critical role in supporting Oyster Gardening on Mobile Bay, and they recognize the crucial role oysters play in the ecosystem and economy. Adopters receive the following:

  • a certificate of adoption
  • the monthly newsletter so you can follow along with the progress of your oysters
  • invitations to hear invited speakers
