ALDOT Radiation Safety Officer Course (FY 24-25)

The Radiation Safety course is a prerequisite for this course. This is a one-day course of classroom instruction. The objective is to train designated individuals in the proper procedures for conducting and documenting a radiation safety program. The course includes all materials necessary for attendants to teach a Radiation Safety Refresher workshop to previously certified ALDOT technicians. Course topics include regulations for securing and transporting nuclear gauges, personnel monitoring, what to do in case of an accident or if gauge is stolen, instructions for conducting leak tests, and documentation needs.
