Summer Ecology Camp (1st - 7th grades)

Summer Ecology Camp (1st - 7th grades)

The Kreher Preserve & Nature Center Summer Ecology Camp gives children a safe, beautiful place to learn through nature. Campers enjoy nature‑based lessons, hikes, fresh air, and time on the Nature Playground while socializing with peers and discovering wildlife up close.

This summer, campers will explore Alabama’s fascinating geologic story—from ancient oceans and volcanoes to minerals and the rocks beneath our feet. Through hands-on activities and exploration, they’ll learn how rocks form, how landscapes change, and why Alabama is one of the nation’s most geologically and biologically diverse regions. Come discover how much Alabama rocks!

Camps are for upcoming 1st - 7th graders and run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM with drop-off beginning no earlier than 7:45 AM. A snack will be provided; campers should bring a refillable water bottle each day.

Summer Ecology Camp is $175 ($150 for members) per camper for all five days and includes a camp t-shirt. Use promotion code CAMPSIB to receive $10 off registration for siblings living in the same household.
