Arkansas State University is a member of the Sun Belt Conference and is 1 out of 120 schools that competes at division 1 FBS status. FBS is the highest level of athletics for NCAA. For Women's Bowling Arkansas State is in the Southland Conference. Dr. Dean Lee announced the addition of Women's Bowling as the university's 16th sport in November 2003. The 2004-05 season was the inaugral season for the program. Since that time, Arkansas State Women's Bowling has become a Nationally ranked program, finishing as high as second at the NCAA National Championship in the 2007-08 season. The lady Red Wolves have made 10 straight national championship appearances.
