Event Information: “St. Bernards Healthcare, Arkansas State University Division of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement and the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at NYITCOM at A-State have collaborated to bring the 4th Annual diversity conference to the city of Jonesboro, AR and surrounding areas. The conference will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 8:30 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. The conference theme is “Courageous Conversations for Social Action."  The conference will offer tools to assist with the advancement of DEI within the organization through courageous conversations.

New this year, we will host a conference pre-session for individuals at the beginning and intermediate level who want to engage in courageous conversations about everyday DEI issues and work through DEI case studies. This pre-conference will prepare individuals to engage in the conference at a deeper level. The pre-conference session will occur on Thursday, June 8, 1:30 P.M.-3:30 P.M. via zoom.

 

What is the Registration fee? Regular Registration is $40. Registration and Applying for CEUs is $50.  Registration is due June 1st, 2023 by 5:00 P.M.

What information do I need to register? To register please have this information for yourself or for those you are registering: (1) Name, (2) Email, (3) Phone number, (4) Organization/position, (5) Any dietary restrictions, (6) Your level of DEIB understanding. You will be asked to select one of these three choices: (A) I am new to this topic and want to learn the basics, (B) I have done this work for 2-5 years and am looking for new tools to continue the work, (C) I have an advanced understanding of DEIB and am committed to learning and growing.

Can I get Continuing Education Credits? Nurses and Physicians will be eligible to receive CEUs. Social workers and educators will receive certificates indicating their attendance. These certificates can be used by attendees to apply for professional development credit through the appropriate granting agency.

Where do I park? Limited parking will be available at the Cooper Alumni Center. Overflow parking is available at the First National Bank Arena parking lot, yellow entrance (lot directly accross from the Cooper Alumni Center) Campus Map
